• Revamped For Higher Ed Portal
  SERC's For Higher Ed portal has been updated and refreshed with new resources from across the SERC portfolio! The portal provides faculty, department chairs, and others with direct access to resources to improve teaching practice and strengthen programs and systems.
• Workshop for Heads and Chairs at AGU
  

  This one-day workshop provides an opportunity for leaders of geoscience departments to come together to learn, share, and build community to collectively strengthen geoscience programs and departments.

• SERC Spotlight
  

  Ellen Iverson, director, and Kristin O'Connell, evaluation/education associate, co-authored a paper with colleagues titled, "Building Institutional Capacity for Research Impacts: The ARIS ORIC Program," in Research Management Review.

  SERC is now hosting the website for the PROmoting Geoscience, Research, Education and SuccesS (PROGRESS) Program. Progress aims to mentor STEM undergraduates who identify as women interested in the Geosciences through a combination of formal and informal, professional and peer mentoring.

he Accelerating Systemic Change Network (ASCN) is a network of individuals and institutions, formed with the goal of more quickly advancing STEM education programs. Our unique approach is to bring together those who are researching systemic change at higher education institutions, with those who are making systemic change happen at their individual institutions.

The Math You Need, When You Need It Math Tutorials for Students Majoring in the Earth Sciences

Undergraduate majors in the Earth and environmental sciences also often struggle with effectively applying math in Earth science. This project is developing co-curricular modules to support majors-level students on math concepts relevant to their courses.
