  • SERC now hosting Promoting Geoscience Research, Education and Success (PROGRESS)

    SERC is now hosting the website for the PROmoting Geoscience, Research, Education and SuccesS (PROGRESS) Program. Progress aims to mentor STEM undergraduates who identify as women interested in the Geosciences through a combination of formal and informal, professional and peer mentoring.

  • DOI's are now available for SERC pages
    Digital Object Identifiers (DOI's) are now available for content hosted by SERC. They are made available upon request. Simply click the DOI link within the author information, or in the page footer.
  • Visible Geology teaching activities

    Developed by geoscience faculty, these versatile, single-day teaching activities utilize Seequent's Visible Geology web-based application to strengthen students' spatial reasoning and geological analysis skills. Designed for quick integration into homework, lectures, or labs, they help prepare the next generation for the geoscience workforce.

  • SERC Authors Co-Lead Study on Widely Adopted, Data-Rich Teaching Resources

    Beth Pratt-Sitaula, along with Kristin O'Connell (SERC), Bruce Douglas, Becca Walker, Benjamin Crosby, Ellen Iverson (SERC), and Donna Charlevoix, have published a new paper on the GEodesy Tools for Societal Issues (GETSI) program.

This is a multi-faceted research experience for LSAMP undergraduate scholars to deepen their understanding of methodologies, explore STEM disciplines, and define their interests.

The Math You Need, When You Need It Math Tutorials for Students Majoring in the Earth Sciences
